Take your favorite deli sandwich and make it a hot dog! This Reuben hot dog is twist on that deli staple, covered in sauce and plenty of sauerkraut just like the deli down the road.
Dish Count:: 1 Skillet, 1 Cutting Board
It looks like I wasn’t ready to be done with hot dog week. The timing of Hot Dog Week meant that I had one hot dog recipe left over and well, it was these Reuben Hot Dogs! At any deli I go to, I have to search the menu high and low for the Reuben sandwich – it’s one of my favorites. But a good Reuben can be hard to find, and I can be a bit picky.
But when you have your sights set on an epic sandwich, nothing short of awesomeness will do! Unless it’s your favorite sandwich topped onto a hot dog.
It’s getting hard to believe it’s August, and soon it will be September, and then October and wow fall will be here. October coming around also means that we are going to have to make the painful decision where we want to reside for the next year. We’ve lived in this tiny one bedroom apartment for four years now, and man it’s getting a bit cramped. (This coming from the girl who wants to live in a tiny house…)
We’ve had a good run in this little place and it’s definitely home, and even where Ben proposed to me!, but finding a cost effective living space within anything that resembles a budget is HARD!! And moving, is single handedly the worst thing ever.
With three years of single income living since Ben has been in school, we have wanted to minimize our living costs as much as possible – hence the one bedroom living. But Ben will be back in school later this fall working on his BSN and I don’t know if another two years of midnight study sessions in our bedroom as I try and sleep ain’t gonna to cut it!
And have you seen how much rents go up for just one bedroom? $400? $500? Eeeek!! Well, the hunt will continue and in the mean time, I’m going to need another Reuben Hot Dog to calm my anxiety.
