My "To Make" List

In lieu of cooking anything new, different, or attempt-de-gourmet tonight (Ben’s making me dinner, broiled pork chops and steamed veggies – his specialty) I wanted to compile a few recipes that have struck my fancy and still have eluded crossing through my kitchen. There are so many wonderful food bloggers out there, ameteur cooks like myself, who can still whip up some wonderful things without giving it a second thought, or the cooks who have amazing skill that they’ve put to the test for years.

So, here are a few links to the recipes I have yet to make.

Red Quinoa and Black Bean Salad from Ms. Kay at The Church Cook. She is such a kind woman with the most drool-worthy cooking! It all looks never short of amazing.

60-Minute Dill Potato Bread from Kirsten at Comfortably Domestic. I love Bread, there is no two ways about it. And if it incorporates Dill and is done in an hour – count me in! (Ben just walked by and said this looked so good, he wouldn’t be sad if I made this for him…)

Chocolate-Peanut Spread from Smitten Kitchen. Nutella is my biggest guilty pleasure, so the peanut version of Nutella, Hello!! This is top of Beka and my list. Bestie time!!

BBQ Venison Wontons from Haley at The Girly Girl Cooks. My bloggie buddy sure can whip up some good homecooked stuff.

And here are some more amazing recipes that are on my list!

~ Pecan Praline Cheesecake from Christmas Cooking Souther Style Magazine
~Chocolate Walnut Toffee Cookies from the same. PMS food anyone?
~Red Velvet Cheesecake – Cheesecake Factory style, hello!
~Monster Onion Bacon Burger from Patiodaddio
~ Triple Layer Cheesecake from my new blogging buddy at Surly Kitchen
~Mexican Fried Icecream Cupcakes  from Monstermama
~Vesper Martini all James Bond Style….Oh, Daniel Craig a martini never looked so good.
~Spiced Pumpkin Butter
~French Filled Macarons
~ Limoncello from Bell’alimento.
~Chocolate Grahams by Brightbakes.

~ Mediterranean Barley Salad by my future sis-in-law, Michelle. She is a one woman food creating machine. Her MB Salad got published in Family Circle Hometown Cooking book last year.

~And of course her 1st place “Lentil Haters” Lentil Cheesecake. Let me tell you, it is a spicy delectable dessert that would fool anyone who wasn’t explicitly told there were lentils in it. Maybe one of these days I’ll recruit her for a post here at Country Cleaver. This is a recipe that simply must be shared.

This list is bound to keep on growing. What are some of the recipes on your “To Cook/Bake/Create” List? I’m dying to know and learn!

Happy Cooking,
~Megan
