There is something about the cold winter weather that makes me crave ice cream. And SLATHERED in easy nutella hot fudge.

It also pairs perfectly with the new electric throw blanket that my mother in law gave me for the holidays. So with that puppy on high, and a bowl of ice cream and the fourth season of Gilmore Girls, I’m set until New Year!

Nutella Hot Fudge

This is a recipe I have been meaning to share with you for ages. As in two years? Yeah, that sounds about right. Well before this cookbook deal, I was putting together a proposal for a cookbook on Nutella. This was one of the recipes I had wanted to showcase. But now that that is a thing of the past, I wanted to dust off the old scratch pages and bring this one back to life.

I even made a VIDEO on it!

Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Nutella Hot Fudge

  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 3/4 cup Nutella
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 tsp Kahlua or coffee liqueur

In a medium sauce pan, whisk together the heavy cream and corn syrup. Bring the mixture to a light simmer, and whisk in the nutella. Whisk the nutella into the mixture until it has completely dissolved. Turn the heat off, and stir in the vanilla and Kahlua.

Let the mixture cool completely and store in an airtight microwave safe container in the fridge.

To reheat, remove the lid from the container, and microwave the fudge for 30-45 seconds. Stir the hot fudge to ensure that it is smooth and pourable. If needed, microwave for an additional 15 seconds. Serve over ice cream. Or a brownie. Who’s judging? ๐Ÿ˜‰
