I can’t even begin to tell you the number of times I have gone out to the store… for ONE thing!! Blessedly it is only a 15 minute round trip, but when you’re playing the Mission Impossible sound track in your mind as you race through the aisles, because omg-I-Swear-It-Was-On-This-Aisle-Last-Time!!, you realize short of you hoarding away five extra bags of brown sugar in the cupboard is one step shy of a squirrel shoving away his nuts for winter, you’ve got problems. And by “you”, I mean me. True story.
Thankfully, no more!! Get this how-to to make your own brown sugar in five minutes, saving you money, time, and most importantly of all, particularly for those loved ones who would otherwise feel the wrath of a baking woman not having enough sugar, your sanity.

How to Make Brown Sugar
2 cups White Sugar
2 Tablespoons Molasses
In a mixing bowl, add in sugar. Pour over molasses. Using a whisk, mix throughly until molasses has been incorporated into the sugar.
If you choose, you can put together in a food processor, and pulse to blend. Use as you would any other brown sugar.
