I hate when dreams are so real that you physically react in your sleep. And you know it. Last night was on of those nights. I have a well documented phobia of things without legs, or too many legs for that matter. Jellyfish, nope. Slugs? Nuh uh, but getting better. Snakes? Not a chance in living heckkkkk no. So what did I dream about last night? Yup, getting attacked by a big giant snake. Lovely.

Couldn’t I have just dreamed about this burger instead? That would have lead to a much more restful sleep.

In the dream, this giant snake totally went straight for my jugular hitting me right where it counts and unrelentingly hanging on until I passed out. In the dream I came to on a floor in a living room – because I was a real estate agent showing a house and the house owners owned said giant snake? (Reason 1 I will never be a real estate agent) – and the damn giant snake was cuddled up right behind me just chilling out!

Somewhere my dream consciousness and my real-Megan consciousness were duking it out because I could FEEL this heavy snake in my dream, but I was able to deduce that the real culprit that it was probably just my husband….trying to cuddle.

Nothing like that horrifying dream feeling that your husband’s cuddling is that of an imaginary snake trying to kill you. Ahhhh love is not dead.

And love is totally not dead when it comes to hamburgers. There is not a day that a hamburger that doesn’t sound amazing. Especially this one! A local joint here in Seattle, Tipsy Cow, has a Winemaker burger that has all of these delicious things on them and since I was too comfy in my yoga pants one day and didn’t want to leave the house – I resolved to make it at home. And it was delicious. I highly suggest you get on this burger.

One thing that you also need to know here – is the SECRET to the ultimate juicy burger. America’s Test Kitchen is coming to the rescue once again. Check out the recipe below because you will never forget this trick again. I promise you that.

Description

There is a secret to an ultra juicy burger and it can’t stay secret any more! Especially when it’s this ultra decadent Bacon Brie Burger!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 Slice white or wheat bread, crust removed
  • 2 Tbsp Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 pound Ground Beef
  • 4 High Quality Hamburger Buns
  • 1 Onion, Caramelized
  • 4 Slices Bacon, cooked
  • 8 slices Brie Cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup Micro-Greens or other lettuce
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

TO PREPARE HAMBURGERS:

In a bowl, crumble the bread into small pieces. Pour the milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic over the top. Using a fork, mix the ingredients together to form a paste. Next, add in the ground beef and combine with the bread/milk paste and form into four burger patties.

Form into four patties, with about 5 inches in diameter, with slight depressions in the middle of each.

TO COOK THE HAMBURGERS:

Preheat the grill over high heat for at least 15 minutes.  Cook the hamburgers on one side for about 3-4 minutes. Do not press or move for this time. Turn burgers, gently, and continue to cook another 3-4 minutes for a medium well done burger (or about 5 minutes for a well-done burger).

During the last 1-2 minutes, add the brie cheese to the hamburgers to allow to melt. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes prior to deating.

TO ASSEMBLE THE HAMBURGERS:

Top each hamburger bun with dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and then a perfectly grilled and juicy hamburger. Top each burger with caramelized onions, bacon, microgreens, and other bun. Devour immediately.
