Easter Noms

It’s that time of year when some egg laying rabbit (Darwin, what sort of natural selection is this?!) comes hopping up to distribute candy to all the little girls and boys in adorable little dresses and Sunday suits. No my baby fever isn’t kicking in or anything. I don’t think little frilly dresses and widdle three piece suits are precious at all.

Oh my God, YES I DO!

So, with this holiday in full swing it turns out I won’t be doing any cooking what so ever. And for once I’m effervescently excited about it. Don’t worry, but lunch time on Sunday that effervescence will have worn off and I’ll dissolve into a twitchy mess peering over the shoulders of my family members in the kitchen as they prepare the Sunday dinner where I can’t help but step in an take the knife away from some untrustworthy-to-chop-anything-properly family member. (No, I’m not talking about you Dad. Promise.)

But in the mean time – I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite recipes that will put the spring in your family dinner and liven up any Easter setting. And who am I kidding – I’ll probably make something for Easter. You can count on it being any number of these.

Lemon and Champagne Bundt Cake – For obvious reasons.

Beecher’s Flagship Cheese, Asparagus and Pear Bites – A little sweet and savory never hurt anybody.

Spiced Pear and Chocolate Bread Pudding– It’s got chocolate in it. And it’s epic.

Nutella Pecan Pie – Nutella. Say no more.

Homemade Riccota – served with Garlic Toasts – Healthy and totally easy.

Pumpkin (or other flavored) Beer Bread – It’s a hefty bread that will please the men-folk in your life.

Lemon Thyme Biscotti – Delicate and happy for the spring.

Summer Berry Ice Box Pie – Will the summer into action with this no-bake pie!

Oven Fried Salmon Wontons– Impressive, delicious, and baked in the oven.

Tomato Florentine Quiche Cups– These just scream Easter Brunch, don’t you think?

Lemon Lavender Macarons– All the rage. You’ll be the culinary star of your family with these beauties.

Rosemary Cranberry Pecans – A handy snack packed with tangy and savory flavor.

Biscoff Tiramisu – C’mon. Really? You know you wanna.

Asparagus and Brie Perogies – Veggies. Cheese. Appetizer. Done.

Red Velvet Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting – Because you just have to. It’s the law. The best of red velvet cake and cinnamon rolls all in one package.

Happy Adorable Kids in Suits and Candy Pooping Bunnies Day!!
